You Can't Hurry Love
This week’s instalment of Music Monday is You Can’t Hurry Love by The Supremes from their 1966 album, The Supremes A’ Go-Go. The Phil Collins version is from his 1982 album, Hello, I Must Be Going!.
Written and produced by Holland-Dozier-Holland, this became the Supremes’ seventh number one hit and one of Motown’s defining singles. Phil Collins revived it for his second solo album, taking his faithful yet horn driven arrangement to number one in the UK and the top ten in the US.
